UPDATE (Aug 10th 2011):

  • remoQte 0.5 passed the QA and now is available at Ovi Store (download here).
  • After downloading the remoQte 0.5,  you have to download the new Server Module here to make new features on remoQte 0.5 works

If you like this application, please review and rate this app on Ovi Store :D

Whoa, it’s been more than a month since the first version of remoQte. It’s been downloaded more than 2000 times :D . We are updating the handset and server module to a newer version: 0.5 . It contains a new feature: ‘click and hold’ for touchpad mode, so you can drag item or block-select easily with it. At the time of writing, it’s still at the Ovi’s QA, so we expect it will be published next week. Here is some changes in version 0.5:

  • New! ‘Click and hold’ feature in touchpad mode
  • Improved! Sensitivity for scrolling, it’s now not too sensitive.
  • Improved! Touchpad is now (a bit) more responsive.
  • New! Help menu for setup and configuration.

First of all, the remoQte project is still in very early stage. One of it’s major features (clone mode) is currently disabled due to some issues. We are trying our best to make it available soon. We are also planning to update the app to the newer build. It fixes the most important issue on the current build: the performance issue. Its by far more responsive than before. It will soon be published at Ovi. (edit: it’s already there!)

There are two modules that is needed to be installed. remoQte module for your phone, and remoQte server module for your PC (a .JAR file).
